Hasso Plattner’s lecture week at the HPI D-School
From 20th – 24th of February Hasso Plattner’s lecture "Trends and Concepts in the Software Industry II" is guest at the D-School for the fifth time. The workshop week is organized by Hasso Plattner’s faculty “Enterprise Platforms and Integration Concepts” (EPIC) and SAP.

49 HPI master students are working in 8 teams to solve the challenge of how in-memory database technology can be leveraged to speed-up, enhance existing or create entirely new business applications. More than twenty partners from industry and the public sector support this endeavor and provide insights from their daily work that spark the students' ideas.

The whole class already started with a 2-day Design Thinking workshop last November where Design Thinking basics were taught and applied in the context of the Design Challenge. In November students experienced a fast forward move through Design Thinking and established confidence in the process to go out to real company contacts and conduct interviews. Within the whole course, the Design Thinking methodology is employed to drive technology innovation.
