Ahmet Emre Acar

Before his life at the D-School, Ahmet was a consultant at the Free University of Berlin, where he contributed his knowledge of communication in the internet and introduced various community plattforms. After receiving his master of arts in communication studies, he researched on the topic of social media and initiated the NMI conference series on the topic as a graduate fellow of the Alcatel SEL foundation for communication research. As an enthusiast of new technologies and materials, he is taking care of the digital working environment at the D-School. He is also known for his many warmups and musical irradiation in the early morning. If he isn't on a voyage of discovery to his hometown Istanbul, he satisfies his curiousity with the search of exciting trends on the internet and explores the many cafés and clubs in Berlin.
Since summer 2009 Ahmet is no longer active at the D-School, but continues to promote Design Thinking with his own consultancy.
