Florian Altmann

Florian is a senior designer at IDEO with more than 10 years of professional design experience. After studying Industrial Design in his native Germany and in London, he joined IDEO Boston over 7 years ago, before transferring to Munich in 2005.
His responsibilities include design, integration of technology, manufacturer and client liaison, leading teams through projects and additionally, teaching.
Throughout his professional life he has brought innovation to many fields: From household goods to high-tech products in the medical and aviation world and from internet services to medical treatments. In addition, Florian has worked to help companies becoming more innovative themselves.
His experience ranges across all phases of innovation, from early conceptualization and strategy to production and implementation.
In his free time, Florian enjoys inspiration by exploring the Bavarian country roads on his titanium bike and playing classic music on his viola.
