Lakshman Pachineela

Lakshman Pachineela believes that ‘inclusion’ is the key for innovation and growth. As the Head of Innovation at SAP Global Delivery, he finds this approach in design thinking. He constantly communicates to his consulting peers that ‘innovation’ is an attitude without which any consultant would cease to exist.
After earning his Masters in Technology (Anna University, India) and Business Administration (LIBA, India), Lakshman took up an interesting career with Transprojects and focused on setting up new ventures right from idea-planning-implementation. He stepped into NIIT by accident, and this became a turning point of his career in the realm of IT. He joined Digital in its formative years as a consultant and grew to become their Country Head of Consulting and Education. From here, Lakshman went to IBM Global Services and then to SAP in India as one of the founding team members. Here, he built the pre-sales and consulting organization. In 2001, he founded SAP Global Delivery. After further stints in various corporate strategy projects, he returned to SAP Global Delivery to pursue innovation around services. Lakshman is widely traveled and has led large and complex projects across many different countries.
He likes reading about innovation, management and philosophy. He also loves listening to classical music.
Lakshman teaches Business & IT-Strategy and Enterprise Systems at Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai, and the Indian Institute of Management, Calicut.
He joined the D-School in Potsdam as a visiting faculty member in the summer 2010.
