Lena Marbacher
Lena is a product designer and has studied at the University of Arts Berlin. She is currently working on her doctorate at the Bauhaus University Weimar and researching humane interior furnishing constants with a focus on personal possessions of special value. In this context, Lena follows people and their emotionally charged objects that take on psychological functions.
Lena’s work at the University of Arts Berlin as an artistic/scientific research assistant in the design department forms an interface of academic studies, project co-operations, and exhibitions. She has further work experience in medium-sized design firms and in the field of futurology.
There is nothing that doesn’t interest Lena, and one of her principles is therefore: only questions that aren’t asked are stupid questions. With a passion for research, observation, things, processes, craftsmanship, culture and cultures, she also works as a freelance designer. She also loves to bike, draw, build, saw, bolt, fold, write, and read.
