Mathias Weske
Mathias Weske studied computer sciences with a minor in social sciences at the University of Koblenz. He earned his doctorate with a topic in the field of distributed transactions in database systems. He habilitated at the Westphalian Wilhems-University of Munich in the computer sciences department with the topic flexible workflow management. After a short stint at the Technical University of Eindhoven, he was appointed chair of the business process technology department at the Hasso Plattner Institut at the University of Potsdam in May 2001. Mathias is interested in collaborative modelling, analysis, and improvement of business processes and uses methods of design thinking in his work.
