Moritz Gekeler

Moritz Gekeler studied comparative literature, italian studies and dramatics at the LMU in Munich and Design Thinking at the HPI D-School. In fall 2010 he finished his PhD thesis in art history and media theory at the University of Arts and Design in Karlsruhe. In this study he analyzed the presentation of sustainability in product communications and product design. During his PhD he was working as a research associate for the Society and Technology Research Group at Daimler AG. As a member of this interdisciplinary think tank he was part of a team working on future scenarios concerning various topics. He designed and moderated innovation and scenario workshops for internal and external partners and was trying out new trend research methods.
From October 2010 until September 2012 he was the project manager at the HPI D-School. Since Fall 2012 he consults companies and universities in implementing Design Thinking into their context.
