MINT-EC

Cooperation with high schools focusing on science and mathematics

The German society of educational excellence centers for math and science (MINT-EC) aims at arousing interest for mathematics, science, IT, and technology (the so-called "MINT classes") among young people. The Hasso-Plattner-Institute supports the society with periodic camps that enable students from MINT high schools to engage with IT topics. Additionally, HPI Director Prof. Dr. Christoph Meinel takes an active part on the society's board. The MINT society admits schools through a special national selection procedure.

MINT-EC organizes events for students, teachers, and school principals throughout Germany and provides relevant contacts. It also offers integration into a nationwide network of excellent high schools focusing on science and mathematics. Companies and third parties are invited to become part of this network.
