On the initiative of the University of Potsdam leading research institutions formed a network unique in entire Germany: "pearls - Potsdam Research Network".
Founded in January 2009, the partners of the University of Potsdam besides the Hasso Plattner Institute are the Max Planck Society, the Leibniz Association, the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
