CeBIT 2013
The Hasso Plattner Institute at CeBIT 2013:
Push your knowledge. Get new perspectives.
![]() |
In the world of the “shareconomy” outstanding university teaching and research can open up new horizons for everyone. The Potsdam Hasso Plattner Institute demonstrated this at CeBIT lab. Its booth A34 in Hall 9 spotlighted HPI’s goal of sharing its most current knowledge with everyone at openHPI.de, the first interactive IT educational platform. With its motto, “Push your knowledge. Get new perspectives,” the Institute invited all visitors to stop by.
The unusual design of the HPI booth reflected this motto in a playful and eye-catching way. New perspectives have been opened here – for one’s own career as well as in research. These centered on free, open online courses that give orientation in the dynamically changing world of information technology. This includes the possibility of changing known views and even turning a previous way of looking at things upside down. At the same time, with its scientists in Potsdam, Palo Alto, Cape Town, Haifa and Nanjing, HPI focuses on the kind of IT research that has revolutionized processes in companies, in medicine and in the world of the Internet. Furthermore, the HPI School of Design Thinking develops user-oriented innovations for all areas of life.
It has been a completely fresh, unconventional and innovative CeBIT appearance, which means it fitted the HPI style perfectly.
