Future Trends for Business Applications

tele-TASK-Aufzeichnung des Vortrags

What are the important technologies for business software in the next five years? Market trends like slowing IT spending, growing IT usage in BRIC countries and rapidly growing social networking set the stage for increased investments in disruptive markets and business models by the leading market makers in software, servers, networking, telecommunications, and semiconductors. To achieve exceptional growth the top innovators have to pick the right breakthrough innovations amidst current technology trends like high performance computing, pervasive connectivity, web services and SOA. Starting from the current challenges business software faces we will look at some of the future technologies that have the potential to be turned into breakthrough innovations. The presentation will include exemplary usage of innovative technologies by SAP Research.
