Software-Engineering - Quo Vadis? Prospects of an applied Engineering Science

tele-TASK-Aufzeichnung des Vortrags

The talk looks at prospects for the development of software engineering as an engineering discipline. In particular, it shows how software engineering concepts can also be used when developing application systems. The structuring and implementation of simulation systems using the simulation language Modelica and the corresponding development environment serves as a concrete example here. Modelica is an equation-oriented language that allows the dynamic behaviour of a system to be coupled to the static structure of the system, thus enabling suitable simulation experiments to be conducted. Application examples are taken from building simulation and energy technology. Reference is also made to other application areas.
