Projects

The Semantic Media Explorer (SEMEX) is a demonstrator that combines the latest media analysis processes to provide optimal access to video content. 

 

MEDIAGLOBE - the digital archive is part of the THESEUS research program initiated by the German Federal Ministry of Economy and Technology (BMWi). MEDIAGLOBE deals with digitization, analysis, and semantic retrieval of historical, documentary audiovisual content. 

Named Entity Recognition - User-generated tags form an important source of metadata for audio-visual content. NER on this metadata and a subsequent semantic annotation of the textual information with semantic entities constitute an essential base for semantic search scenarios, as e.g. explorative search.
