Matthias Quasthoff's Homepage

Matthias Quasthoff is a research assistant at HPI's Internet Technologies and Systems Group. His research focuses on simplifying the publication and consumption of information on the WWW under certain terms of use for regular users. A major part of this research deals with supporting software engineers in developing the semantic software that is actually needed for new types of user-friendly Web applications. One solution to this problem is the concept of Object Triple Mapping (OTM), being researched through our Java OTM implementation and our RDFa/MVC plugin for the Grails Web framework. Matthias developed and maintains an on-going experiment evaluating the software development experience using different Semantic Web technologies.

Besides this, Matthias is a member of the Tele-Board Design Thinking Research project. Together with Charite Hospital and Tumorzentrum Land Brandenburg, two 1-year bachelor projects on video collaboration and quality assurance in cancer treatment have been supervised. He is also teaching Maths, Information and Web Security, and two Web Programming classes. Results of these classes comprise amongst others HPI's OpenID ProviderOpenID support for Spring Security, a Ruby on Rails plugin for MVC-based access control and a campus lunch planner.
