Vision
Zur Zeit arbeiten sechs Doktoranden aus verschiedenen Ländern Afrikas in der Research School der Universität Kapstadt. Im sogenannten ICT4D Center (Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien in der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit), konzentriert sich ihre Forschung auf Informations und Kommunikationstechnologien die relevant sind für Entwicklungs- und Schwellenländer.
Die HPI Research School @ UCT vereint Forscher verschiedener Fachrichtungen, wie z.B. Anthropologie, Medienwissenschaften, Informationssystemen und Informatik. Sie arbeiten zusammen mit lokalen und globalen Technologiefirmen an Problemen in den Bereichen TeleHealth, M-Education, Mobile Internet, und Mobile Tele-Commuting.
