Mailing List

The ICSE-SEAMS mailing list is a service provided to the community interested in the activities related to the topic of interest of the International Conference on Software Engineering for Adaptive and Self-Managing Systems (SEAMS).

Subscribing and Unsubscribing

There are two ways to subscribe to ICSE-SEAMS, via email or through the web interface.

Using the Email Interface

To subscribe via email, send a message to listserv@listserv.acm.org with one of the following commands as the body:

  • subscribe icse-seams "Your Name"
    Don't include the quotation marks. This will subscribe you and make your name known to the list (your email address will not be published or distributed.
  • subscribe icse-seams Anonymous
    This will subscribe you anonymously.

Giving your full name is optional. The list management software will automatically subscribe the email address in the "Sender" field of your email. This may cause problems with email systems that perform alias expansion or substitution. If you want more control over which of your email addresses is subscribed, use the web interface.

To unsubscribe via email, send a message to listserv@listserv.acm.org with the following text as the body:

  • unsubscribe icse-seams

The email address in the "Sender" field of your email will be unsubscribed. If unsubscribing by email fails, please try to unsubscribe using the web interface.

Using the Web Interface

In order to use the web interface, you may have an ACM LISTSERV account, but it also works without one. If you already have an account or do not want one, skip to step four below.

To subscribe using the web interface, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the registration page and choose an email address and password for your account.
  2. LISTSERV will send confirmation to the email address you entered. This email contains a link to confirm your subscription. Click on it, it should lead you to the confirmation page of LISTSERV.
  3. Log-in to LISTSERV.
  4. Go to icse-seams mailing list page.
  5. Click the link that says "Subscribe or Unsubscribe" in the context menu:
  6. On the next page, select your subscription options.
  7. After you have selected your options, you will receive a confirmation email that contains instructions for confirming your subscription.

To unsubscribe via the web interface:

    • When you have a LISTSERV account, log-in and go to your subscriptions (menu on the left). The menu on the left-hand side can be toggled with the arrow in the top left corner. Among your subscriptions, select the lists from which you would like to be unsubscribed.
    • Without a LISTSERV account:
      1. Go to icse-seams mailing list page.
      2. Click the link that says "Subscribe or Unsubscribe" in the context menu (see screenshot above)
      3. On the next page, enter your e-mail address if your subscriptions und unsubscribe from the list.

Changing Your Subscribed Address

If you are already a subscriber and would like to change the email address of your subscription, first follow the instructions above for subscribing to the mailing list with your new email address, and then follow the instructions above for unsubscribing your old email address.

Privcay

We respect the privacy of our subscribers. All email addresses are registered privately to the list; they are neither published nor otherwise distributed.

Contributions

To contribute to ICSE-SEAMS, send an email containing your posting to icse-seams@SIGSOFT.ORG. All submissions are reviewed prior to posting.

If your submission is posted, you will not receive individual confirmation (other than by receiving your submission as a subscriber to the list, or by monitoring the archive).

If your submission is not posted, you will receive a response explaining why the moderator returned your submission. Spam will be rejected outright and will not be acknowledged.
